Fitting the Cover/Silencer
Fit the reflecting ring or silencer. Also observe the following instructions:

CAUTION
Installation instructions
Silencer: Insert the silencer once more and screw it in place. The screw may only be tight-
ened "hand-tight".
Reflecting ring C&P20/A/M: Tighten the fastening screw for the cover with a torque of
25+5 Ncm.
Reflecting ring C&P20 P: Tighten the screw fastening the cover until hand-tight.
CAUTION
Use the correct filter disk extraction device.
If you use the wrong filter disk extraction device, the placement head could be damaged.
Make sure that you use the correct filter disk extraction device for your placement head.
C&P20/A/M: filter disk extraction device [03055046-xx] (transparent)
C&P20 P: Filter disk extraction device C&P20 P (green) [03108641-xx]
CAUTION
Avoid getting filter disk residues into the head.
Replacement in the machine: switch the vacuum off when the machine is running.
During replacement outside the machine, turn the head on the head mount, so that the Z
axis is at the bottom.

NOTICE!
Recommendation
We recommend replacing all filter disks during each
maintenance cycle.
Replace any damaged filter disks with new ones. Pro-
ceed as follows:

Replacing the Filter Disks
Remove the filter disks (example of C&P20 A shown)
Place the tool in front of the collar and press the guid-
ance sleeve against the collar.
Turn the handle a quarter clockwise.
Remove the tool.
Make sure the filter disk has been removed complete-
ly.
Remove the filter disk from the tool.
Fit the filter discs (example of C&P20 A shown)
Insert the new filter disk into the tool.
Press the filter disk centrally onto the collar.
The filter disks must engage audibly!
Visually check the correct position of the filter disk.
The filter disk must be fitted straight on the DP drive!

NOTICE
Not on C&P20 P
This maintenance task is not required for the C&P20 P.
Check whether the switching disks are damaged or
broken (e.g. scratches or discoloration of the black
surface). Also check whether neighboring switching
disks have the same height. Differences in height are
an indication of damage.
If a switching disk is damaged, carefully remove it (1).
Use your thumb to press from below against the seg-
ment so that the segment is not damaged when you
remove it.
Fit the new switching disk onto the segment so that
the pin (3) and groove (2) engage with one another.
Use a suitable sleeve (in this case a pen cap) to press
the switching disk onto the segment. The nontrans-
parent switching disk must engage audibly.
Also check whether the new and neighboring switch-
ing disks have the same height.
