- The ballast resistor on the power supply unit has not been
switched on correctly, while an axis or more axes were

- Check the continuity and resistance (100 ohm) of the ballast resistor on
connector X4 on the power supply unit.
- If OK, the switching is faulty; replace power supply unit.

Linear motor current was
measured as too high in one ot the
amplifier units.
- Short circuit in the motor.
- Defective wiring between amplifier and motor.

- Check resistance between motor coils: 8.8 ohm (+3/-1). If fault replace
carriage.

- This error can be caused by another error. See the
APC_EVT.LOG file.
- The error criterion is set too small.
- Mechanical friction of the axis is too high.
- Filthiness or malfunction of linear scale.
- Refer to APC_EVT.LOG file for other errors (e.g.
EM_HDV_NOT_SQUARED).
- Check HDV.CFG file; the error criterion must be 0.5 mm. and the
single/double sided configuration must be correct.
- Check friction current of the axis. If too high, check the bal

After a move the carriage came to
a halt incorrectly.
- The error criterion is set too small.
- Mechanical friction of the axis is too high.

- Check friction current of the axis. If too high, check the ball guides. If faulty,

- Check output of LMS. If correct, check connections between LMS and LAC.
- Check for electro-magnetic disturbance.

- Current application program requires too much acceleration or
deceleration from the carriage.
