Ground Man and Ground Man Plus
Ground Monitors for Tools
3M Ground Man Monitors allow users to continuously monitor up to
three connection points on tools. The monitors indicate whether each
individual ground connection being monitored is within specification
or has failed. Ideal applications include SMT pick-and-place tools, IC
handlers, wire bonders, die attach and other tools.
Ground impedance alarm levels can be set by the user to satisfy a broad
range of requirements and compliance with standards such as ANSI
6.1 and ANSI/ESDA S20.20. Adding additional reliability, the host tool is
provided a logic level signal to shut the tool down in case of ground failure.
Miniature and unobtrusive, the Ground Man Monitors are easy to install
and easy to connect.
Use 3M Ground Man Plus Monitor CTC334 to monitor all important
ground connections in the tool and an operator. This monitor adds wrist
strap monitoring to allow only properly grounded operators to work with
the sensitive devices.

Heel Grounder Assembly
(Premium Performance)
The 3M Non-Marking Shoe Grounder Assembly 2056 is designed to
reliably ground mobile personnel when they are in contact with conductive
and dissipative flooring. The non-marking conductive, carbon-free,
non-slip outer layer provides a dependable static ground while the inner
layer provides a non-marking surface for the shoe. After being trimmed
to a desired length, an extra-long contact ribbon is inserted between the
shoe and sock. The function of the heel grounding assembly depends
upon the foot perspiration in the shoe to sustain electrical contact between
the conductive ribbon and the body. The Shoe Grounder Assembly 2056
is designed with a 1 megohm resistor. ESD SP9.2 Type A.
