1. Allgemein
This manual describes the station computer retrofitting from CPU 086 to Box PC 827C (or subsequent)
to be done in conjunction with the CPP upgrade for X Series machines.
Parts required: 03079951-02 Add-on kit Box PC for CPP head SW70x
2. Ausbau der alten Computer Unit
Lift the computer unit from the guide rails and disconnect all cables from the front and rear of the
computer unit.
Front:
- CAN bus cable X6pn/X7pn (CAN bus adapter)
- Hotlink cable X0pr-X3pr/X0ps-X3ps (Hotlink adapter)
- PS2 cable (keyboard/mouse) to the PS2 Y splitter X5pc (station computer)
- RS232 connector for X7pc and X8pc touchscreen (station computer)
- Network cable to the line computer X1pe-X7pe (hub)
Rear:
- Monitor cables X1pz and X2pz (VGA) or X18pz and X19pz (15-pin Sub-D)
- Power supply for fan X27pz
- Power supply for DC/DC converter +52 V X62pz

- Remove the two existing PS/2 Y splitters and cables between them and the PS/2 Y cable
(03002958 and 03002959). To do this, open the black zipper sleeve.
- The 4 PS/2 cables coming from keyboards 1 and 2 (03002960; 03002961; 03002962; 03002963)
must be pulled out from the zipper sleeve, until they are the same length as the Hotlink cable.
- Store the green connector X27pz (24 V fan) in the zipper sleeve and then close the sleeve.
- This completes the removal work.
3. Installation of the BOX PC 827C
3.1 Preparatory work at the BOX PC 827C
- Unscrew the two Torx screws (1) and remove the cover (2).
Remove the Y cable
and the splitters
Pull the PS/2 cables out
until they are the same
length as the Hotlink cable
