1 Introduction
This manual provides technical information and describes how to configure and operate the
SIPLACE® BulkFeeder X.
With the SIPLACE BulkFeeder X a new feeding system is offered for all small components that are
used in high quantities in a high-volume production environment. Instead of feeding the
components out of a tape and reel packaging, the components are filled into a cartridge and
transported and separated onto a glass plate from which they are picked up contactlessly.
The following main advantages apply for the SIPLACE BulkFeeder X:
The adjustment to different component sizes (0402, 0201 and 01005) is done via software only.
The vibration system cannot only transport the components in any direction, it can even flip
components.
Filling the cartridge is easier than splicing or setting up a new reel and the feeder is able to hold
much larger component quantities than a tape feeder ever can.
Less downtime of the machine or line.
Component packaging costs are supposed to be lower when using the bulk feeder system
instead of tape and reel.
Waste materials will be significantly reduced down to almost no waste.
1.1 Safety Instructions
