5. Precautionary Items for Correct Operations
Power Failure
Instantaneous voltage drop due to power failure or lightning will cause the built-in computer
to break down and the basic and application programs to corrupt.
It is recommended that a DC uninterruptive power supply be used as a countermeasure
against instantaneous voltage drop.
Built-In Computer
A computer is built in the machine and used to control each internal mechanism of the
machine, save various data, and realize a user interface.
When the power switch of the machine is turned off while the computer is working (computer
being accessed), the computer may break down, causing the stored data and application
programs to corrupt.
Refer to "4.2 Power OFF" in "Chapter 2 (Vol. 1: Guide)" for how to turn off the power
switch of the machine.
Note on Startup Operation (Running-In Operation)
After the machine has been stopped for a long period of time, perform a running-in
operation for approximately 30 minutes to smoothly start up the machine.
Reference
Refer to "6. Running-In Operation" in "Chapter 3 (Vol. 1: Guide)" for the detailed
information on the running-in operation.
