REGULAR MAINTENANCE
Regular Maintenance
This chapter describes regular maintenance of CM88.
The characteristics of regular maintenance of CM88 is to automatically estimate a
maintenance period by run time and inform it to the user. Carrying out maintenance,
based on the run time, enables to run the machine in a more stable condition.
This chapter is constructed as follows.
1-1 Outline of maintenance
The renewal of maintenance period and history, and the list of item for each
period and unit is shown.
1-2 Lubricating
How to use grease gun or grease points in common are described.
1-3 to 1-7 Details of operation for each period
Details of maintenance is described for each period.

1-1 Outline of Maintenance
CM88C-M2U automatically estimates the time for regular maintenance by the period time set in
advance and run time, and informs it to the user. Entering the end of maintenance after it, can save
the date of operation in the history. This information also can be the standard to estimate the next
maintenance period.

Checking the Operating Period, Contents and History Information
NOTICE
Neglecting the regular lubrications and exchanging the oil promotes deterioration
of the parts and may cause serious trouble.
As for “the periodical maintenance time (every 1000 hours) (lubrication)” and “the
index oil replacement time,” warning messages appear whenever the main menu
screen is displayed. Then immediately carry out the maintenance.
• When 90% of cycle time is passed, the item
blinks in green on the “Main Menu” screen.
The cycle time is over, the item blinks in yellow.
[The left screen is displaying three items to
indicate the position on the screen.]
• As for only “the periodical maintenance time
(every 1000 hours)” and “the index oil replace-
ment time,” when the 90% of cycle time is
passed, the item blinks in green. Then the
cycle time is over, the item blinks in yellow.
• Pressing OK deletes the warning message
and enables the operation, and perform the
maintenance.
Run time is added to that of previous
maintenance.
