1.10 Cleaning the Filter Regulator (Every Week)
Point
The air flowing within the pneumatic piping needs to be clean at all times.
A dirty filter element may make it impossible to supply clean air and lead to equipment
breakdown.
Procedure
WARNING
Always be sure to cut off the main power before carrying out any work.
Hold down the lock knob and remove the filter case. Wash the filter case with a mild,
non-alkaline detergent.
Note: The element should be replaced every two years.

1.11 Cleaning the Tapered Clutches at Nozzle
Rotation Axes (Every Month)
Point
Following extended periods of operation, the tapered clutches at the nozzle rotation axes
can become spattered with grease, etc., from the machine, causing the clutches to slip. A
slipping clutch makes it difficult to rotate and position a nozzle at the proper mounting
angle. The clutches should therefore be cleaned regularly, using the grease cleaner
(ThreeBond 2706) provided with the machine.
Procedure
WARNING
• Always be sure to cut off the 200 V power before carrying out any
work.
• Exercise extreme caution when working on the machine if the cam is
not at its origin (0 deg.). Recoil of the cam axis can endanger the
operator.
Pull the outer shaft of the nozzle rotation axis downward, then wipe the tapered clutch
clean using a cloth which has been wetted with grease cleaner.
Note: Do not spray the grease cleaner directly on the tapered clutch because the cleaner could
land on other parts as well, removing their lubricant.
