à Place the protective film of the adhesive tape of the tape measure around the long pin, pull to
the right and tighten with your right hand.
à Hold the protective film with your right hand and pull to the right in order to move the pasting
device to the right.
à Remove the right-hand guide and the rest of the film.
à Push the pasting device across to the right-hand stop.
à Remove the pasting device.
à Press down the rest of the scale with your hand using the reinforced cloths.
à Clean the scale with a cloth impregnated with ethyl alcohol.
à Clean the scanning surfaces of both y axis incremental encoders using a cloth impregnated
with ethyl alcohol.
à Loosely tighten the two M3 x 10 hexagon socket-head screws (item 2 in Fig. 3 - 1) on each of
the y axis incremental encoders (item 3 in Fig. 3 - 1) to fix them to the main gantry .
à Use the feeler gauge to set the gap between the y axis incremental encoders and the scale.
Then tighten the fixing screws.
3.5 Settings
à Check the track signals of both incremental encoders.
