13.1.5 Command area "Action"
The Setup Editor contains the commands Select, Allocate, Delete, Move and Copy. They are symbolized by
icons. Clicking on the icons allows the mode to be determined in which the Set-Up Data Editor is to operate.
The selected mode remains active until another icon is clicked on. The mode is valid for all open Feeder Part
Editors alike.
All objects must be clicked on for a command to be executed on them. In the non-selected state they are
displayed in dark-blue, in the selected state in light-blue.
The divisions of the feeders and waffle pack trays must be clicked on so that components can be allocated to
them. In the non-selected state the empty divisions are outlined in dark-blue. As soon as they are selected,
they are displayed in light-blue.
Overview of the meaning of the colors:
- dark-blue: object is non-selected; division or divisions are empty and non-selected.
- light-blue: object is selected; division or divisions are empty and selected.
- dark-green: division or divisions are occupied and non-selected.
- light-green: division or divisions are occupied and selected.
- Select
When this icon is active, the editor is in the selection mode. This mode is a type of "neutral" mode in
which no actions can be executed. The selection mode is active when the Set-Up Data Editor is
opened.
The selection mode is selected to invoke the Packaging Editor and the Machine Options Editor.
Click on .
Click on a feeder division or the waffle pack tray divisions.
The division or divisions are highlighted.
Click on an option of the SERVICES menu.
The respective editor is opened.
Make the required entries.

- Create
When this icon is active, the editor is in the allocation mode. In this mode it is possible to allocate an
object to a target:
Click on .
Open the list in which the object is listed.
Click on the object.
Click on the target.
The object is automatically allocated.
NOTE
The clicking sequence can be performed in either direction for all allocations: either, as described
before, click on the object first and then the target, or click on the target first and then the object.
If an allocation is not possible, a corresponding message is displayed which must be acknowledged.
The following allocations can be made:
- Component --> Track, using the RI-File option (in the Feeder Part Editor)
When the RI-File option is activated, the line computer accesses the data contained in the Set-up info
file. There, fixed allocations of components to feeders and waffle pack trays are defined.
When performing the allocation, a component must be assigned to a track. The respective feeder or
waffle pack tray with the particular component is then automatically set up on the track. It is therefore
not necessary to allocate any feeders or waffle pack trays to the tracks.
In the case of the feeders, at first only the division is occupied (outlined in dark-green) whose track
was clicked on. The empty division must still be assigned a component.
NOTE
In the case of the waffle pack trays, the required waffle pack tray carrier is also automatically set up.
With linear feeders, the required module must first be set up manually. The module can then be assi-
gned the component, the feeder is set up automatically set up.
- Component --> Level, using the RI-File option (in the WPC/MTC Editor)
When the RI-File option is activated, the line computer accesses the data contained in the Set-up info
file. There, fixed allocations of components to feeders and waffle pack trays are defined.
When performing the allocation, a component must be assigned to a level. The respective waffle pack
tray together with the waffle pack tray carrier is then automatically set up on the respective level. It is
therefore not necessary to allocate any waffle pack trays and waffle pack tray carriers to the levels.

For selecting the levels in the WPC/MTC Editor the following clicking sequence must be observed:
first click on the level in the "Levels" display area, then
click on the level in the "WPC/MTC" display area.
- Machine options of the feeder list --> Tracks (in the Feeder Part Editor)
The machine options of the feeder list (except for the waffle pack trays) can be allocated to the tracks
of a feeder part. Only the six tracks identified in green at the upper and lower borders of the feeder
part cannot be occupied by these machine options.
- Waffle pack tray --> Waffle pack tray carrier and manual trays
Waffle pack trays are set up on waffle pack tray carriers. A waffle pack tray carrier can be assigned
any number of waffle pack trays.
- Waffle pack tray/waffle pack tray carrier --> Level (in the WPC/MTC Editor)
For selecting the levels in the WPC/MTC Editor the following clicking sequence must be observed:
first click on the level in the "Levels" display area, then
click on the level in the "WPC/MTC" display area.
- Feeder (linear feeder) --> Module
Linear feeders must be set up on a module. The module must be set up before the linear feeders are
assigned to it.
- Component --> Feeder (in the Feeder Part Editor)
The components are allocated to the feeder divisions individually. An empty division is marked in blue,
an occupied division in green.
- Component --> Waffle pack tray (in both editors)
Only one component type can be allocated to a waffle pack tray. All divisions therefore contain same
type of component. Empty divisions are highlighted in blue, occupied divisions in green.
- Nozzle --> Nozzle Changer location (division)
In addition to the configured nozzles, further nozzles can be defined in the Machine Options Editor.
- Options of the options list --> Tracks (in the Feeder Part Editor)
The options list is required for the station configuration. The options are permanently allocated to the
tracks. An exception is the WPC, the MTC and the component disposal conveyor. They may also be
allocated in the Feeder Part Editor for a specific setup only. It is therefore possible to manage, for
example, setups with and without WPC in parallel without any need for the station configuration to be
changed.
