files) contain the relevant software documents (Installation Manuals, Software Version Descriptions, User Guides
etc.).
ASM Support Media 2.12 (R20-2):
It contains additional tools, updates and documentation for the installation and optimum use of ASM software
products.
Please use the Navigation Guide button of the Support Media Launcher to navigate through the documentation. The
navigation guide and all related documents are available on the Support Media.

1.2 System Requirements
The Support Media included in the installation package checks the necessary system require-
ments of your system and installs these. Amongst others e.g. Microsoft .NET Framework, the Li-
cense Manager and the Error Reporting tool. 1
The use of the Support Media 2.11 is obligatory. 1
The system requirements (supported operating systems and database variants) and an overview
of the interoperable products can be found in the ASM Support Media Installation Manual. 1

SIPLACE Explorer provides various installation variants for the different components: 1
– Factory Layout Central Installation (CI)
– Factory Layout Distributed Installation (DI)
– Single Line Layout
We recommend that you use one of these installation variants for your system. For a detailed de-
scription, please see Section “Standard Installation of SIPLACE Explorer” on page 15. 1
