Z axis (front part of head) 9
a Use a brush or cottonwool bud to remove dirt from the Z axis toothed belt.
: Clean the rollers, toothed wheels and the toothed belt with a cottonwool bud or a lint-free cloth.
: Check the to

d belt for wear.
Replace the toothed belt if it shows sign
s of wear (see
servicing instructions).
: Lightly grease the toothed belt with ISOFLEX TOPAS NCA 52 and remove any excess grease.

s Check that the Z axis guide runs easily and without play.
: Check the jaws a
nd the ball race for damage.
Contact your regional Service Center if defects are identified in the Z axis, the jaws or the b
all
race.

Oil the recirculating ball guide (lower bearing) 9
: Move the Z axis into its bottom pos
ition.
d Clean the grooves in the miniature roller table front
and back using cottonwool buds dipped in
ethyl alcohol.
: Wipe the n
eedle of the oil dispenser clean.
Do not force oil out of the oil dispenser. A visible drop would be too much oil. 9

f Simply place the needle immediately beside the ball cage/bearing on the grooves of the guide
rail. The action will cause sufficient oil to reach the grooves (capillary effect).
: Move the Z axis up and down several ti
mes to distribute the film of oil.

Star 9
a Wipe the star using a lint-free cloth.
: Apply a light film of ISOFLEX TOPAS NCA 52 grease to the running surface of the star brake.
Remo
ve
any visible excess grease.

Make sure that no dirt or grease gets into the vacuum channels. 9

The vacuum distributor disk is glued on. 9

Segments 9
9
When cleaning, be careful not to damage the sleeve retaining springs in the segments. 9
Do not push the cottonwool bud into the segment as far as
the retaining spring; otherwise the re-
taining spring may be pulled out. 9
9
s Carefully clean the segments using a cottonwool bud moistened with ethyl alcohol.
d Remove any visible dirt around the segments.

Valve casing 9
: Remove the valve plungers.
f Clean the valve casing using a cottonwool bud moistened with ethyl alcohol.
: Then clean all around the valve casings.
