You will need the following tools and consumables for maintaining the sleeves: 11
Laboratory gloves
Ethyl alcohol
Lint-free cloths
Cottonwool buds
Microtips (cottonwool buds)
Drill bit 1.1 mm
Drill bit 1.4 mm
Fin Grease spray grease
Suction plate
SIPLACE sleeves maintenance:
6-segment C&P head (item no.: 00375674-01)
12-segment C&P head (item no.: 00375681-01). 11

a Check the foil for damage.
If the foil is damaged, send the sleeve to the SIPLACE Sleeve Maintenance.

s Spray a little Teflon grease into a suitable container.
Moisten the cottonwool bud with Teflon grease.
Do not spray the Teflon grease directly from the spray ca
n to avoid over-application and thus
damaging the placement head.

To clean, only use ethyl alcohol. Do not use white spirit, otherwise streaks will form on the incre-
mental disk. 11
Do not use silicone-soluble cleaning agents. 11

d Run the dampened cottonwool bud along the back of the anti-rotation element.
11
f Check that the switching ring moves easily in the sleeve.
The unit that is moved must not catch or run jerkily.
If this is not the case after greasing, send the sleeve
to SIPLACE Sleeve Maintenance.

a Remove the dirt from the longitudinal vacuum hole by turning the 1.4 mm drill bit clockwise in
the hole.
Turning the bit will remove the dirt from the hole.
s Remove the dirt from the transverse vacuum hole using the 1.1 mm drill bit.

Wear laboratory gloves for this step. 11

d Check the suction plate for damage.
Replace it if it is damaged.
d Clean the sleeve suction plate using a dry, lint-free cloth.
