This user’s manual is a handbook and reference book for setting up and operating the SIPLACE 80S-20/F

0.1.1 About this User’s Manual
In most plants different people are responsible for operating, setting up and programming. This is the reason
why the operator need not for example have a detailed knowledge of all functions of the system. In addition
physical injuries and damage to property may be the result of untrained personnel carrying out actions without
possessing the corresponding background knowledge. This is why certain functions which can only be carried
out by personnel specifically trained in them are protected by passwords. This division of responsibilities is
also reproduced in the users manual in the information boxes. On those pages for the higher user class the
user class is shown in the footer as well.
Those pages where the footer does not show a user class contain the basic information the operator needs to
operate the machine.
For the higher user classes the corresponding pages contain all additional information.
