Former SIPLACE Pro Versions 1

SIPLACE Pro 10.0 is compatible with SIPLACE Pro 1.x, 2.x, 3.x, 4.x, 5.x, 6.x, 7.x,8.x, 9.x including

all released Hotfixes and Service Packs.

Note:

SIPLACE Pro installations from version 5.2 onwards are automatically de-installed when installing

SIPLACE Pro 10.0.

For installations before version 5.2 a corresponding message is displayed stating that SIPLACE

Pro has to be de-installed manually using the Control Panel. 1

Note:

During the installation, your SIPLACE Pro databases are automatically updated to the SIPLACE

Pro 10.0 data format.

Data model export files (*.xml) of previous SIPLACE Pro versions (from SIPLACE Pro 2.0 onward)

can be imported. 1

Information on the SIPLACE Pro Interface (SPI.NET) 1

SIPLACE Pro version 8.0 was the last version supporting the SIPLACE Pro Interface (SPI.Net).

From SIPLACE Pro version 9.2 the SIPLACE Pro Interface (SPI. NET) is replaced by SIPLACE

OIB.

Replace SPI.NET based applications with SIPLACE OIB. 1

This chapter describes the components of SIPLACE Pro and possible configurations.

2.1 Overview

2.2 Standard Configuration (Client/Server)

If installing on separate computers, you work with one computer as the dedicated server and one

or more other computers as clients.

Example of a client/server configuration:

MS SQL Server, SIPLACE Pro Database, Line Control Server and SIPLACE Pro Server are in-

stalled on the server computer. One or more clients can work with this server computer. SIPLACE

Pro Desk, SIPLACE Pro Interface and Line Control GUI are installed on the client computers.

Note

This configuration is not mandatory. For example, you can also install Line Control Server on a

client computer or a separate computer.

It is also possible to change the configuration subsequently. 2

Note

Installation on separate computers cannot be performed via the network. Install the individual

components on separate computers by calling up the setup function for the components locally on

each destination computer. 2

2.2.1 General

– In this configuration, the Service Department integrates a SIPLACE server into the cus-

tomer's network. The customer has to order integration resources for this to be done.

– The customer's network must meet certain requirements.

– This configuration permits clients of the various SIPLACE software products to be integrated

into the customer's network.

– A new SIPLACE Pro Server will be installed and the database of a SQL based SIPLACE Pro

Server will be migrated.
