Chute to the PCB Conveyor Height
In accordance with the PCB conveyor height, the length of the used tape chute can be set so that
the tape cuttings are directly diverted into the waste tape container of the component trolley.

5.8.2.1 PCB Conveyor Heights 900 mm - 950 mm
Loosen the two hexagonal nuts M4 (item 3 in fig. 5.8 - 1).
Adjust the extension (item 2 in fig. 5.8 - 1) so that the distance between the lower edge and
the ground are a maximum of 320 mm + 20 mm (see fig. 5.8 - 1
).

6 Working with the Machine
This chapter contains a number of subjects that are intended to help you during your daily work
on a SIPLACE line.
For example, you are provided with preventative measures that you can take to minimize the down
time on the machine to obtain the highest possible level of efficiency for the SIPLACE line during
production.
In addition, this chapter describes the duties of the operator and setup engineer in the so-called
operator and setup engineer profiles.
6.1 Staff Profiles

Correct usage with qualified personnel
Incorrect usage poses a risk to life and limb and a risk of damage to equipment.
Only appropriately qualified personnel may put the machine into operation, operate
it or perform work to the machine. For more information, refer to section 1.3

Evidence of these qualifications must be obtained in training or instructions of per-
sonnel. These instructions must be given by personnel trained and authorized by SI-
PLACE.
