6.5.2 Fitting the retainers and compression springs
The retainers and compression springs should be fitted back in the reverse sequence of operations.
NOTE
Before fitting the compression springs check their length. When unloaded they should be 32 mm. If this is not
the case change the springs, always doing so in pairs for each side of the conveyor.
Align the guide rails as described in Section 6.6, Page 6 - 29.
6.5.3 Function test
Under the Conveyor functions menu carry out a function test with the boards.

Auxiliary Materials and Equipment
Adjustment plate for aligning the guide rails
Feeler gauge 2 mm
NOTE OOO
You should also comply with the safety instructions in Chapter 1.
Adjust the width of the board conveyor to the width of the adjustment plate.
Switch the machine off and disconnect it from the power supply.
Make sure that the machine cannot be switched on while you are working.
Place the adjustment plate on the board conveyor so that one half of the plate is located in the aligned part
and the other half is in the part which is to be aligned.
Slide the guide rail which is to be adjusted towards the adjustment plate until it is separated from it by
0.2 mm; fix the guide rail in position.
Slide the adjustment plate by hand through the entire board conveyor, making sure that it slides easily and
without forcing all the way through.
You should also make sure that the adjustment plate slides easily and without forcing from one conveyor
onto the next.
You may need to adjust the guide rails of the individual conveyors such that they align with each other.
Finally carry out a function test under the Conveyor functions menu.
