11.2.4 Substitute steps
Prepare Valve and Adapter Plate
Mount the valve to the adapter plate according
to the picture by using the two black screws,
washers and nu
ts.
Remove Sources and existing Valve
Remove the input and output compressed air
hoses.
Unplug the electrical connection.
Remove the two screws holding the magnetic
valve and remove the existing valve.
Attach new Valve
Attach the new valve with adapter plate
accor
ding to the picture.
Use the same screw holes as the old valve and
fasten the adapter plate with the two enclosed
short screws.

Connect Sources
Connect the input compressed air hose on the
right side and the output hose which is going to
the air dryer on the left side of the valve.
Connect the electrical cables to the lower two
terminals (polarity does not matter).
11.3 Membrane Air Dryer
11.3.1 Introduction
This modification instruction describes how to change the membrane air dryer of the Air Dryer
Option on SIPLACE Material Tower.

Before starting the maintenance, read the Safety instructions carefully.
11.3.2 Tools, Material and Scheduling
For an effective and efficient maintenance, the following resources have to be provided:

Tools: Allen key Nr. 2.5, 4
Wrench Nr. 17, 20, 26,
Auxiliary Material: Teflon tape

Schedule around 15 minutes for this task.
11.3.3 Prerequisites
For a safe and efficient maintenance, the following prerequisites have to be fulfilled:
Personnel:
• Any work with or at the equipment must be carried out by skilled
and trained personnel in accordance with the locally applicable
regulations.
• Inform all involved persons regarding the currently running
maintenance works.
Machine loading:
• NO item must be unloaded.
Machine operating
condition:
• Shut down
Main electrical power:
• The Main Switch must be switched off.
Compressed air /
Nitrogen (if used):
• Equipment disconnected from compressed air or nitrogen supply.
Access:
• Open the left side door of the machine, where the electrical unit and
the air dryer is located.
