Schedule around 15 minutes for this task.
5.1.3 Prerequisites
For a safe and efficient maintenance, the following prerequisites have to be fulfilled:
Personnel:
• Any work with or at the equipment must be carried out by skilled and
trained personnel in accordance with the locally applicable
regulations.
• Inform all involved persons regarding the currently running
maintenance works.
Machine loading:
• All stored items must be unloaded in advance.
Machine operating
condition:
• Shut down
Main electrical
power:
• Equipment disconnected from power supply system. The Main Switch
(switched off) locked by means of a padlock to secure the main switch
against unintentional switching on.
Compressed air /
Nitrogen (if used):
• Equipment disconnected from compressed air or nitrogen supply.
Access:
• Open the door on the right side of the machine
• Pull the Z axis towards you
• Pull the gripper up (is a bit hard because the Z motor has a break) so
you have better access to the Y axis
5.1.4 Exchange steps
Step 1
On the gripper a
t the right side of the Y axis,
slightly loose the screws of the pulley.

Step 2
By losing the grub screw on the pulley, the Y belt
gets loose.
Step 3
Cut the cable tie which is around the Y motor.
Unplug the motor and the encoder.

Step 4
Hang out the Y belt from the Y motor pulley.
Remove the black screws which fix the motor.
(Screws are from Bossard B1206_M3x06)
Afterwar
ds the motor is loose and can be
removed.
Step 5
Take the new motor and fix it to the Y plate with
the black screws.
Cable outlet of the motor shall be in back.
Put the Y belt over the pulley.
