CHAPTER 3 SERVICES REQUIRED
EXTERNAL SERVICES
In order for the machine to function correctly the following services must be
available. The services must be stable and clean.

Pneumatic Supply The machine requires a pneumatic supply of clean, non lubricated air which
should maintain a minimum pressure 5 Bar and a maximum of 8 Bar.
The air should be to ISO 8573.1 standard, quality class 2.3.3, where :
• 2 dirt = 1 micron
• 3 water = -20°C pressure dewpoint
• 3 oil = 1mg/m3
Electrical Supply The factory mains supply for the machine is routed through the front panel
mounted mains isolator switch. Two separate mains supply cables are fed
through two sets of isolator switch contacts to supply the following:
• Machine Supply (M23 ac Power Module)
• Internal Vacuum Filtration Unit

DEK recommends a power supply capacity of 2KVA or greater for each supply
lead.

Machine Supply DEK requires additional machine supply protection with the fitment of a wall
mounted circuit breaker conforming to national/federal regulations. The follow-
ing circuit breakers are recommended:
• 100V - 120V = 16 Amp Circuit Breaker
• 200V - 240V = 8 Amp Circuit Breaker
The machine operates using a single phase mains supply 50/60Hz and can be
configured to operate on 100/110/120/200/210/220/230/240V ac.
CAUTION
OVER CURRENT PROTECTION.
Magnetic/thermal over current protectors
protect the machines internal wiring and components from overheating/
fire during fault conditions.
Vacuum Filtration
Unit Supply
The vacuum filtration unit requires a separate mains supply to that of the
machine with its own circuit breaker. The following circuit breakers are recom-
mended:
• 100V - 120V = 16 Amp Circuit Breaker
• 200V - 240V = 8 Amp Circuit Breaker
The vacuum filtration unit operates using a single phase mains supply 50/60Hz
and can be configured to operate on 100V - 120V or 200V - 240V ac.
