3.3.7 TimeLapseInterval
Thetimelapseinterval(“Tlapse”)determinesthetimetakenbetweenstacks.Whensetto
“off”therailperformsonestackatatime(normaloperation).Whensettovalueotherthan
“off”,time‐lapsemodeisenabled.Thisfeatureallowstheperiodic captureofasequenceof
images.Anexamplewherethismaybehelpfulwouldbestackingaflowerbloomingover
time.Ifthe“Tlapse”timeisfasterthanthetimeittakestocompleteastackitwillskipthat
time‐lapseeventandwaitforthenextinterval.Theintervalmaybeadjustedfrom100ms
upto24hours.

sethowrapidlypicturesaretaken.Forothermodesthissettingwouldtypicallynotbe
adjusted.Thepulsedurationshouldbelongenoughforyourcameratorespond.Ifthe
pulsetimeissettooshortyourcameramayignoreit.

(“English/mils”).Thedisplaywillshow“mils”.One“mil”isathousandthofaninch.You
alsohavetheoptionofselecting“Steps”.A“step”isthehighestresolutionmethodof
movementforStackShot.Onestepistheequivalent to0.1125degreesofmotorrevolution,
0.000496mm(~0.5um),or0.0195mils.Using“Steps”astheunitofmeasureis
recommendedonlyforadvancedusers.Suchsmallresolutionincreasestheprobabilityof
runninginto“stiction”whichmaycausenon‐uniformstepsintherailmovement.

adjustthebacklightinglowerifworkinginlowlightsituations.Thispreservesyoureyes
sensitivitytolightandalsodoesn’tcauseunwantedsecondarylightinyourexposure.To
