6.1 MirrorLockup
Mirrorlockupisacommonlyusedfeatureinmacrophotographytoreducevibrationofthe
cameraduringshooting.SLRcamerasswingthemirrorupoutofthelightpathtothefilmor
sensorjustpriortotheshutteropening.Thismovementultimatelyleadstovibrationwhichcan
inducemotionblurinthepicture.Somecamerashavetheabilitytoenableafeaturewherethe
firstbuttonpressoftheshutterswingsthemirrorupandthesecondbuttonpressopensthe
shutter.ThisfeaturecanbeprogrammedintoStackShotbygoingintotheconfigurationmenu.
ThismethodisidenticaltosettingStackShottotakemultiplepictures.PresstheCONFIGbutton
toentertheglobalconfiguration:

potentiallyexposurebracketing),andautomati creturnuponcompletion.Theoptionalauto
returnfeatureallowsadjustmentofthecamera’sparametersandlightingwitho uthavingtore
positionthecamera.
FortheOrchiditwasdecidedthatAutoStepmode beused(seesection3.7formoredetails).

cameratothepointwherethefurthestawayelementinyourcompositionisinfocus.Againthe
SELECTbuttonwaspressedtoconfirmthefinalposition.Thedisplaythenshowedthe
