1.4 SIPLACE TX micron
1.4.1 Description
In addition to the features of the SIPLACE TX, the SIPLACE TX micron placement machines also
demonstrate top placement quality for advanced packaging, high-volume production.
The SIPLACE TX micron placement machines are available in three different variants and two dif-
ferent accuracy classes:
– SIPLACE TX2 micron
– Placement machine with two gantries
– Table position "outside" at location 1
– Table position "inside" at location 2
– Accuracy classes 25/20 µm
– SIPLACE TX2i micron
– Placement machine with two gantries
– Table position "inside" at location 1 and 2
– Accuracy classes 25/20 µm
– SIPLACE TX2i micron 15 µm
– Placement machine with two gantries
– Table position "inside" at location 1 and 2
– Accuracy class 25/20/15 µm
The accuracy must be verified according to ASM guidelines, using the ACT (Accuracy Checking
Tool). See also the ACT user manual (item no. 00196351-xx)
The SIPLACE TX micron placement machines have one placement area and a dual conveyor.
Two boards can be placed at the same time on dual conveyors.
Three placement methods are possible for processing the components:
– Collect&Place,
– Pick&Place and
– A combination of Collect&Place and Pick&Place (mixed mode).
These can be quickly and accurately positioned by linear motors, moving independently of one
another in the X and Y directions.
There are two locations available for supplying components. These can be fitted with component
trolleys and configured with up to 40 tracks.
