6.5 SIPLACE Shuttle Extension

6.5.1 Description
The Shuttle Extension connects a SIPLACE TX micron placement machine with another produc-
tion device in a placement line, even if this has a different conveyor mode. The Shuttle Extension
balances the positions of fixed conveyor sides (e.g. fixed side on right to fixed side on outside) or
takes over the distribution from single to dual lane and vice versa.
The Shuttle Extension can be fitted to either the input or output section of the SIPLACE TX micron.
The control system and power supply is provided by the downstream or upstream
SIPLACE TX micron. As part of the placement line, the Shuttle Extension is programmed via SI-
PLACE Pro.

6.5.4 Barcode Reader Extension - option
The Barcode Reader Extension is an option for reading barcode labels on boards. The Barcode
Reader Extension is fitted to the Shuttle Extension TX on the SIPLACE TX input section.
