3.8.1.5 Technical data for SIPLACE tape feeder modules
In general, the SIPLACE tape feeder modules have a length of approx. 587 mm and a height of
approx. 200 mm. The technical data are listed in the following table.
The maximum height of the interference contours above the upper edge of the tape pocket is ≤ 3
mm. As the SIPLACE tape feeder modules do not show any flaps projecting upwards and are also
fixed to the changeover tables, the risk of a head crash is reduced to a minimum.

The SIPLACE X feeder modules are also suitable for use with the SIPLACE TX. The
technical data are identical to those for the SIPLACE SmartFeeder X or SIPLACE Smart-
Feeder Xi.

3.8.2.1 Description
The SIPLACE Glue Feeder allows you to position dots of adhesive on a component, before it is
placed. These dots of adhesive can then be checked by the SIPLACE Vision system. The required
glue dots can be defined in the Component Shape Editor in SIPLACE Pro and you can also define
whether individual dots of adhesive are to be excluded from inspection or not. This adhesive func-
tion can be enabled and disabled in the Component Editor in SIPLACE Pro. The SIPLACE Glue
Feeder is a special feeder module which needs to be manually configured as a fixed feature on a
