5.1 Cleaning agents and tools

5 Cleaning
WARNING
Danger of crushing.
Service mode gives you access to all the movable parts of the LDU.
► Do NOT reach into the machine while it is running.
WARNING
Health risk.
The flux and cleaning agents used may contain substances which are hazardous to your
personal health.
► Wear your personal protective equipment (coat, glasses, mask, and gloves).
► Observe the safety data sheet of the relevant flux.
WARNING
Damage of the LDU by improper disassembly.
A disassembly of the LDU beyond the actions described in this chapter can lead to damage
and may only be handled by specially trained employees.
► Remove only those parts which have to be cleaned for proper operation of the LDU.
WARNING
Damage of the LDU by spilled cleaning agents.
The LDU moves during the cleaning process.
► Make sure that there are no cleaning agents or tools on the LDU.
NOTICE
Target group: standard operator
The procedures described in this chapter are regular tasks that can be carried out by any
trained operator.
5.1 Cleaning agents and tools
Suitable cleaning agents and tools are:
1. Ethanol, isopropyl and water
2. Tub or bowl for cleaning
3. Plastic or wooden scraper
4. Brush
5. Lint-free cleansing tissues

5.2 Removing the parts to be cleaned
NOTICE
Observe the exact order
It is important to perform the steps for removal of the parts to be cleaned in the sequence
described here.
► In the station software, select the Setup
view(1) and then the Locations area (2).
► Select the Table (3) on which the LDU is
set up.
► Select the icon of the LDU(1).
► Click on the Settings... button (2).
► Select the Cleaning tab.
Releasing the flux tank
Prerequisites: Park plate and dipping plate are fitted.

► Click on the Unhook flux tank button.
(1) The LDU moves the squeegee over the dip-
ping plate.
(2) The lifting axis is lowered and the flux tank is
released.
(3) The LDU moves the squeegee slightly back
over the park plate.
► Make sure that the flux tank is completely
released.
Removing the flux tank and the dipping plate
Prerequisites: The park plate and the dipping plate are fitted.
► Click on the Remove dip plate button.
(1) The LDU moves the squeegee back over the
park plate and the dipping plate with the flux
tank is lifted.
(2) Rotate the flux tank on the dipping plate by
approx. 90°.
(3) Remove the dipping plate together with the
flux tank.
