Cleaning /Replacing the Ce ramic Nozzles
4.7.4.1 Cleaning/Replacing the Ceramic Nozzles
CAUTION
Do not clean the nozzles in bulk!
Cleaning the nozzles in bulk can damage the ceramic tips (through impact with one another or
with the cleaning vessel), and/or the plastic shaft (through contact with the cleaning fluid).
Always use the the cleaning box described here!
NOTICE
These maintenance tasks are described using the example of a nozzle magazine for DLM
heads.
The procedure is the same for other nozzle magazines.
Remove a full nozzle magazine from the nozzle
changer. When handling a nozzle magazine which is
not full, pay attention to the orientation in the nozzle
changer. At the end of the cleaning procedure, make
sure that the nozzle magazine is reinserted into the
nozzle changer with the same orientation.
CAUTION! If you are using both plastic and
ceramic nozzles in the same magazine, remove the
plastic nozzles. Plastic nozzles can not be cleaned with
the ultrasonic bath.
Press the cleaning box onto the nozzle magazine.
