Software Version Description, Station Software Version 407.05 07/2008 Edition
• Error report 1-7SEIY
Software error in the integrated SOKO "high components" on SIPLACE F5HM machines.
After high components have been placed on a board in conveyor 1 (asynchronous dual conveyor), the
gantry moves to the fiducial of the board in conveyor 2 while the star is turning and in the process
removes the high components that have already been placed. The procedure has been improved.
• Error report 1-84JSH
The fine calibration programs in version 407.02 contained an incorrect fiducial position. Furthermore,
720 / 920 nozzles were on the C&P12 heads while only the IC head was placing components.
The programs have been reworked
• Error report 1-7WXPW
If an S20 is upgraded from 407.02 SP1 to 407.03, the machine data converter aborts with the message
"not successful". The log file indicates that conversion was not successful for the following 5 files:
- Achs.ma
- Achs_std.ma
- Mappsteu.ma
- Kraft.ma
- Scanpara.ma
The converter was modified accordingly.
• Error report 1-8RN1H
When switching between various placement programs, the error message "2477 Unknown nozzle at
segment, none specified in configuration" was issued. The cause of this was that the currently measured
nozzle lengths were not initialized during the height reference run.
• Error report 1-8S0H9
Problems on picking up components from very deep pockets. The feeder is moves on before the nozzle
has left the component pocket. As a result, the nozzle is trapped in the feeder and the gantry axes start
to move. This damages the IC head. This error was eliminated by revising the cycle sequence.
• Error report 1-8S719
User interface crashes. Machine must be rebooted.
Problems representing the individual component levels occurred in the context of the component level
indicator. If the data was updated and at the same time the user clicked on the surrounding interface,
incorrect data accesses occurred and the interface crashed. It was possible to eliminate the cause of
this error.
• Error report 1-8VMHY
In the software version description version 4.01 is still stated as a requirement for SIPLACE S23 and
SIPLACE F5HM. This is not correct. Version 4.03 of the firmware should be read in.

Software Version Description, Station Software Version 407.05 07/2008 Edition
• Error report 1UA-6EO
In unfavorable circumstances, it is possible that components are placed twice on a board. The
components are then stacked on top of each other. It was possible to eliminate the cause of this error.
• Error report 3RS-2N3 and error report 1-8VMHD
If a nozzle error occurs on the machine, the incorrect MC is shown at the GUI. Also, segment 13 is
displayed. The displayed segment was calculated incorrectly.
The calculation has been corrected and now the correct segment is displayed on a nozzle error.
6.6 Errors Corrected in the 407.03 Software
• Error report 1-5WP6D
When individual calibration or axis functions on the Z axis are called up, it is no longer possible to move
without a sleeve. After the reference run, the star is no longer moved into its parked position in SITEST.
• Error report 1-38UHD & error report 1-4X3EQ
On a SIPLACE machine with 407.02 software, if the STOP key was pressed and then the covers were
opened, the axes remained switched on (ON lamp lit on the axis card).
The axis was only released by pressing the EMERGENCY STOP button. This behavior has been
corrected. The axes are now deactivated as soon as the cover is opened.
• Error report 1-4NW2M
"Error in placement sequence software" appears when the job is specified. The station still accepts the
job and only places with one gantry even though both gantries should be placing.
This was caused by an error correction for position recognition that was not performed correctly. It
meant that the second gantry never received permission to place.
• Error report 1-4AZS9
When a new program is specified, nozzle 418 is always on the IC head in the software. The nozzle must
always be attached manually otherwise problems occur when the nozzle is changed.
The calibration of the set-up (feeder position recognition and nozzle configuration) was not observed by
the MC. Thus the problem described above occurred.
• Error report 1-55UQP
If a fiducial is taught with a multicolor camera on a SIPLACE F5HM machine, irrespective of whether it is
synthetic or 2D, the illumination color selection does not match the actual illumination.
Two illumination levels were confused when the hardware was controlled. In Version 407.03, the correct
levels are controlled.
• Error report 1-2HH89
In connection with the dip fluxing option, it was possible under unfavorable conditions that a component
would not be placed. This error only occurred on head cycles that did not have components on all
segments and one of these components had to be dipped.

• Error report 1-40U9X
In Version 407.0x, feeder position recognition occasionally lasted approx. 40 min.
This was caused by the illumination switching off too early. In the current version, the illumination is no
longer switched off during the feeder position recognition process.
• Error report 1-2BRH9
If the "cover" is opened during placement (Emergency Stop), the "Aborted" flag is set for the relevant
board, even if this board is not aborted and continues "completely" normally through to the end of
placement. Thus the number of boards was incorrect in the subsequent applications (e.g. OIS).
• Error report 1-37FMT
If a board is positioned in the input conveyor when the package form manipulator is started, it is possible
that the data for the statuses of the individual tracks will be inconsistent. This can lead to an empty track
error, even though no track is offered at the GUI for refilling.
• Error report 1-3EGF3
If a conveyor error also occurred after an Emergency Stop, the output conveyor of the relevant conveyor
was no longer released. Thus the board remained in the machine. The machine had to be restarted.
• Error report 1-57PK9 & error report 1-6IRKJ
During production, the machine comes to a standstill when the PCB barcode has been read, with the
message " Waiting for PCB release". The machine then has to be restarted.
The problem was caused by simultaneous attempts to access the memory by two processes in the
machine controller.
The accesses have been locked against each other to prevent this problem from occurring again.
• Error report 1-6HS4L
The error message for a defective component table communication unit was misleading. Information on
the location affected was missing. This information is now output.
• Error report 1-3EP4X
Solution adopted from Version 503. When an incorrect component barcode is scanned, the relevant
track is deactivated. The machine can no longer pick up components from this track.
• Error report 1-4THLP
When a job with high components has been placed, error 525 "WPC: No tray available" appears the
next time a job is specified. This error message appears during the WPC reference run. The error was
caused by incorrect error handling. This has been corrected.
• Error report 1-37UOH
When programs were specified with fiducials whose x offset was equal to zero, the data server crashed.
The data preparation function interpreted this zero incorrectly and terminated the procedure
prematurely.
A fiducial still must not have the name "0".
• Error report 2QQ-1P9
The machine came to a standstill after long periods of operation with an operating system error. This
was caused by a problem with the station software releasing Windows-internal system resources.
