Air Supply
Supply dry and clean air (Pressure: 0.45 to 0.69 MPa (4.6 to 7 kgf/cm
2
)) that does not
contain moisture, oil, and dust to the machine.
When the supplied air contains much moisture, etc., the machine may not work normally
due to the moisture, etc., accumulated in the machine.
Note
Dry and Clean Air
Moisture
: Dew Point -17°C or less (Atmospheric Pressure)
Oil
: 0.1 mg/m
3
or less (ANR)
Dust
: Solid Material 0.01 µm or less
Data Backup Operation
Data may become unavailable due to breakdown or mishandling of the machine.
It is strongly recommended that the hard disk data be periodically backed up with the
network terminal (option).
Computer Viruses
When a program or data is corrupted abruptly, the computer makes unexpected system
behavior, or an abnormal window appears on the operation panel, the computer may be
infected with a virus.
Computer viruses are bad programs written to deliberately invade a computer system
without its user's permission or knowledge. They can perform a triggered event or corrupt
your precious data.
Antivirus programs are called "Vaccines" and used to remove or repair infected programs
and les.
A virus-infected computer may spread the virus to other computers through communication
systems or by sharing diskettes (data storage media) between dierent computers.
Use a vaccine program to check if the built-in computer is infected with a virus if necessary.
Keep in mind that a computer virus cannot be removed, depending on what type of vaccine
program you are using.
For this case, book the backup of data beforehand.

6. Precautionary Items for Correct Operations
Power Failure
Instantaneous voltage drop due to power failure or lightning will cause the built-in computer
to break down and the basic and application programs to corrupt.
It is recommended that a DC uninterruptive power supply be used as a countermeasure
against instantaneous voltage drop.
Built-In Computer
A computer is built in the machine and used to control each internal mechanism of the
machine, save various data, and realize a user interface.
When the power switch of the machine is turned o while the computer is working (computer
being accessed), the computer may break down, causing the stored data and application
programs to corrupt.
Refer to "4.2 Power OFF" in "Chapter 2 (Vol. 1: Guide)" for how to turn o the power
switch of the machine.
Note on Startup Operation (Running-In Operation)
After the machine has been stopped for a long period of time, perform a running-in
operation for approximately 30 minutes to smoothly start up the machine.
Reference
Refer to "6. Running-In Operation" in "Chapter 3 (Vol. 1: Guide)" for the detailed
information on the running-in operation.
