7.6 EXTERNAL DVD DRIVE (OPTION)
As the machine PC is not equipped with a DVD drive, an external DVD drive option is available to
assist with potential future software updates/upgrades/reinstalls. The drive is a DVD rewriter and
can work with the majority of available disk formats.
The DVD drive is supplied with a Y type USB 2.0 cable, one USB connection at the Y end sends/
receives data the other end enables the PC to supply the drive with power.

The machine PC handles all the machine functions (via CAN Bus and LAN Host Comms), printer
cameras and the MMI. It is configured using a dual core processor with standard PCI for the cam-
era system.
