The following functions are available in the "PCB mapping" display:
–
Right to select the right conveyor track
–
Left to select the left conveyor track of a dual conveyor
–
Start to start the mapping run
–
Continue to continue mapping
–
Display mapping data to display the mapping data determined
–
PCB mapping both gantries to perform the mapping run for both gantries of the SIPLACE
80S-20 (switching from one gantry to the other is carried out auto-
matically. The mapping run is first carried out for gantry 1, then for
gantry 2).
–
Check run to approach the mapping positions for checking purposes (one
position per row)
–
Display check run data to display the setpoint positions calculated during the mapping
check and the deviations measured
(taking into account the correction values from the measured
values file, the rotational offset angle, the gantry offset, etc.)
●
If a dual conveyor is installed, activate the appropriate radio button
Right
or
Left
in the "Conveyor
track" field, depending on which conveyor track you wish to perform the mapping.
●
If you wish to change the resolution that is used to determine the data during the mapping run, click on
the "Resolution" field.
The following options are available:
–
standard 13 x 11 measuring points will be determined with a fiducial spacing of 40 mm
–
high 25 x 21 measuring points will be determined with a fiducial spacing of 20 mm
●
Select the option for the desired resolution.
NOTE
Each mapping plate is delivered with a diskette containing a measured values file. This file contains the
values of the deviation of the measuring points from their setpoint positions. These values are required for
PCB mapping for correction purposes. Only after the plate number (see below) has been entered can the
PCB mapping run be started. The measured values file is read in from diskette upon the start of the
mapping run.
●
Place the diskette supplied with the mapping plate into the floppy drive of the control unit.
●
Enter the number of the mapping plate in the "No. of mapping plate" editing field.

4.2.1 Mapping Run for Both Gantries (SIPLACE 80S-20)
●
Click on the
PCB mapping both gantries
button.
The mapping run is performed for gantry 1. After the mapping run, gantry 1 is automatically moved to
the park position and subsequently the mapping run for gantry 2 is performed.
After the mapping run has been completed without any errors, the data thus determined is automatically
saved.
●
If a dual conveyor is installed, activate the radio button for the conveyor track for which mapping has
not yet been performed.
●
Click on the
PCB mapping both gantries
button.
The mapping run is performed for both gantries on the selected conveyor track.
After the mapping run has been completed without any errors, the data thus determined is automatically
saved.
●
To review the mapping data for the current conveyor track, click on the
Display mapping data
button.
The data determined is displayed in a dialog box.
●
Close the dialog box by clicking on
OK
.
●
Click on the
Check run
button if you wish to check whether the values determined are correct. The
check run is now started.
●
Click on the
Display check run data
button.
The data determined during the check run is displayed in a dialog box.
●
Close the dialog box by clicking on
OK
.
●
Click on the icon to return to the main view.
4.2.2 Mapping Run for the Second Gantry
●
Click on the
Start
button. The active gantry now performs the mapping run.
●
If a dual conveyor is installed, activate the radio button for the conveyor track for which mapping has
not yet been performed.
●
Click on the
Start
button again.
The active gantry performs the mapping run on the selected conveyor track.
●
Click on the icon to return to the main view.
●
In the main view "SIPLACE 80S-20" click on the icon to switch to the "Gantry 2" display.
CAUTION
∆
!
On no account must the position of the mapping plate(s) be changed when switching from one gantry
to the other.
●
Click on the icon to switch to the "PCB mapping" display.
●
Click on the
Start
button. The mapping run is performed for gantry 2.
After the mapping run has been completed without any errors, the data thus determined is automatically
saved.

●
If a dual conveyor is installed, activate the radio button for the conveyor track for which mapping has
not yet been performed.
●
Click on the
Start
button again.
Gantry 2 performs the mapping run on the selected conveyor track.
After the mapping run has been completed without any errors, the data thus determined is automatically
saved.
●
Remove the mapping plate(s) for PCB mapping.
●
Click on the icon to return to the main view.
NOTE
PCB mapping can also be performed using the
Calibrate machine...
-->
PCB mapping
function (see
chapt. 3, section 3.2). On SIPLACE 80S-20 machine types, this function is used to perform automatically
the mapping procedure, first for gantry 1 and then for gantry 2.
If a dual conveyor is installed on the machine, mapping is performed first on the right and then on the left
conveyor track.
