ValveMate 8040 Controller
Spray pattern is dened through a combination of
uid pressure, valve stroke and valve open time,
with valve open time providing the greatest control
over the volume of uid sprayed.
The ValveMate
™
8040 controller is a fast,
convenient way to adjust spray valve open time in
increments as small as 0.001 seconds. External
solenoids, combined with a 0–2.0 bar (0–30 psi)
nozzle air pressure regulator, provide Low Volume
Low Pressure (LVLP) air to the nozzle, for high
transfer efciency without overspray. The result
is exceptional spray pattern denition without
time-consuming programming or mechanical
adjustments that require the production line to be
shut down.

ValveMate
8040 Controller
ValveMate 8040 controllers feature microprocessor circuitry
for precise spray control. Feed lines can be purged, initial
spray volumes set, and adjustments made quickly and
easily at the spray station, without stopping the production
line.
The ValveMate 8040 is simple to set up and operate, and
easy to interface with PLCs and other equipment. When
the signal to start the cycle is received, the ValveMate’s
microprocessor takes over and regulates the amount of uid
sprayed as Low Volume Low Pressure air is applied to the
nozzle. At the end of the cycle, nozzle air continues for a
few milliseconds to ensure a clean clog-free cutoff, and the
ValveMate signals that the process has been completed.
Note: ValveMate 8040 can be congured with either single or
dual spray valve operation. Above schematic depicts dual valve
installation.
