The precision and performance of
SIPLACE placement machines is
critical for highly efficient
electronics plants that must
operate non-stop. And no matter
how large the plant is – it must be
able to perform the tasks across
the production life cycle as
quickly and accurately as
possible at all times.
With SIPLACE Engineering
Services, this is no longer a
problem.
Most of our SIPLACE customers want to perform
the tasks which come up in their electronics
production as efficiently and effectively as possible.
If they don’t have the necessary resources or can’t
get them in time, our SIPLACE service specialists
will be happy to perform these tasks.
In some cases, the customer’s need to carry out
these jobs may be only temporary, or they don’t
want to invest in employee training for something
that may be needed only sporadically. Here, too,
SIPLACE service specialists are available with
knowledge and support.
Our SIPLACE specialists provide any special
equipment which may be needed in order to keep
customers from having to invest in tools and incur
the associated maintenance and repair expenses.
Mobile and smaller equipment which impacts
productivity directly such as feeders or placement
heads will be repaired by our SIPLACE service
specialists on-site or in one of our Service Centers.
Since our on-site repairs are based on the same
quality standards we apply to the production of new
parts, we even give a warranty on any feeders and
placement heads we repair.

Our SIPLACE service specialists perform the
following tasks at any production location by
themselves or together with the production staff.

Machine - Verification
(for analog and digital SIPLACE machines)
There are many reasons why one may need to
verify the machine capability. With our various
measurement tools we can perform this job for any
machine type. Two different measurement
procedures are available:
Internal machine verification
(for analog and digital SIPLACE machines)
We use special software and high-quality glass
components and glass boards to turn any
placement machine into a high-precision tool.
External machine verification
(for analog and digital SIPLACE machines)
For the external calibration we use the same
procedures as for the internal machine
verification, but with the addition of a specially
developed, highly accurate measurement device
developed by SIPLACE.
Camera Verification
(for analog and digital camera systems)
This service uses SIPLACE-developed
measurement systems to calibrate and adjust
analog and digital SIPLACE vision systems
(PCB-, component- and stationary cameras).
Feeder Verification
(for S- and X-Feeder)
• This service includes all the special SIPLACE
tools needed to verify the component pickup
position as well as the functionality of the
SIPLACE S- and X-feeders.
Production - Troubleshooting
Feeder Repair Service
(SIPLACE S-feeders only)
• Our SIPLACE feeder experts repair defective
SIPLACE S-feeders at a nearby SIPLACE
Service Center.
Head Repair Service
(CP20, DLM star drives and DLM sleeves only)
• This service is an alternative to the even
exchange of CP20 heads, DLM star drives and
DLM sleeves. Our SIPLACE experts perform the
repairs at a nearby SIPLACE Service Center.
Optimization - Cost Reduction
Feeder Refurbishment
(SIPLACE S-feeders only)
• This service brings S-feeder modules up-to-date
as best as technically feasible. Because of the
service’s complexity, the feeders can be
refurbished only at our Feeder Center by our
SIPLACE feeder experts.
