The SERIO 5000 Back to Back printing system is
pointing the way, when there is a demand for
oor-space. Due to its small footprint and smart
design, the printer can be used in production in
a very space-saving manner, having achieved the
utmost of space-utilisation.
As additional advantage, two printing systems can
be installed „back-to-back“ and work individually.
This not only ensures a exible and space-
saving layout design, but also a signicantly higher
throughput rate.
The stencil printer is based on the SERIO 5000
system platform that stands for impressive
scalability. Using several selected options¹),
the SERIO 5000 Back to Back can be tailored to
individual needs. Additional features can be added
either directly during initial conguration or later on
in the eld. For example, the stencil printer can be
extended signicantly with respect to precision.
With a printing repeatability of ± 20µm@6Sigma,
it is unique in its class.
Simple Operation
The SIMPLEX user interface makes the operation
of the printing system fast, easy and controllable.
The interface can be operated intuitively using
gestures. A touchscreen allows to perform each
function which can be selected directly.
The improved ergonomics and user guidance of
SIMPLEX minimises training times and makes
operating processes much easier. Particularly
noteworthy is the live view, an overview of the
entire substrate, which supports the operator
visually during programming.

Das Drucksystem SERIO 5000 Backto Back setzt
Zeichen, wenn es um eine ideale Flächenopti-
mierung in der Fertigung geht. Aufgrund seiner
geringen Stelläche und kompakten Bauweise
lässt sich der Drucker sehr platzsparend in der
Fertigung einsetzen.
Ein zusätzlicher Pluspunkt ist, dass zwei Drucksy-
steme „Rücken an Rücken“(back-to-back) platziert
werden können und damit unabhängig voneinan-
der arbeiten. Das gewährleistet nicht nur eine
exibleundraumsparendeLayoutgestaltung,son-
dern auch eine deutlich erhöhte Durchsatzrate.
Der Schablonendrucker basiert auf der System-
plattform SERIO 5000, die für eine beeindruckende
Skalierbarkeit steht. Über einige ausgewählte Op-
tionen¹) lässt sich SERIO 5000 Backto Back indi-
viduell an den jeweiligen Bedarf anpassen. Die
zusätzlichen Features können entweder direkt bei
derAnfangskongurationoder später im Feld er-
folgen. Beispielsweise kann so der Schablonen-
drucker im Hinblick auf Präzision deutlich erweitert
werden. Mit einer Druckwiederholgenauigkeit von
± 20µm@6Sigma ist er damit einzigartig innerhalb
seiner Klasse.
Einfache Bedienung
Das User Interface SIMPLEX macht die Bedie-
nung des Drucksystems schnell, einfach und
kontrollierbar. Die Oberäche ist intuitiv über
Gestensteuerung bedienbar. Anhand eines Touch-
screens kann die jeweilige Funktion direkt ange-
tippt und ausgeführt werden.
Dank der verbesserten Ergonomie und Nutzer-
führung von SIMPLEX werden Schulungszeiten
minimiert und Bedienabläufe erheblich erleichtert.

Floor-saving solutions for the
consumer electronics market
The high-volume production demands of the
consumer electronics manufacturing market,
require smart, powerful and cost effective
solutions. EKRA can support these demands with
the SERIO 5000 Back to Back. The printer is
especially designed for small to mid-sized, high-
running PCBs. Designed for SMT-environments
that require, optimized room-utilization and high-
end throughput, this printer can be congured as
a single, dual or multi-lane solution.
Dual Lane
The printers are congured in a „back-to-back“
dual lane arrangement. Each printer has its own
dedicated transport system control that can be
individually operated, each from its own side.
Quad Lane
Two „back-to-back“ congurations are installed in
series.This allows two individual substrates to be
simultaneously processed on the two individual
tracks. The rst substrate passes the rst printer
and it is printed in the second printer.

Back to Back stellt EKRA ein Drucksystem vor, das
diesen Anforderungen bestens entspricht. Die An-
lage wurde speziell für kleine, mittlere und hohe
Fertigungsvolumen entwickelt. Der perfekte Ein-
satzbereich ist in SMT-Fertigungen, bei welchen
ein geringer Platzbedarf, eine beste Raumausnutz-
ung und ein optimierter Durchsatz gefordert sind.
Das Drucksystem kann als Einfach, Doppel- oder
Mehrfachlösung eingesetzt werden.
DualLane
Die Drucker stehen in einer „Rücken-an-Rücken“-
Konguration. Die Bedienung erfolgt von beiden
Seiten. Jedes Drucksystem verfügt über ein
spezielles Transportsystem, das individuell ge-
steuert wird.
QuadLane
Zwei Doppelspursysteme sind so angeordnet,
dass zwei Substrate auf den zwei einzelnen Spu-
ren simultan zugeführt, verarbeitet und weiter
transportiert werden. Das erste Substrat durch-
läuft den ersten Drucker und wird im zweiten
bedruckt.
