1. Customer request
Many customers have expressed the wish to install an antivirus program on the SIPLACE machines and/or the programming
systems (line computer or SIPLACE Pro).
2. Recommendation
For all customers wishing to install an antivirus program.
1.) The following program was tested for the SIPLACE machines and the SIPLACE Pro programming system under the operating
systems Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 and Windows XP:
- OfficeScan 5.50 from TrendMicro (dated 1 September 2003)
2.) The following program was tested for SIPLACE line computers under the Linux operating system (SuSe 7.3 and in future 8.2)
and SCO Open Server 5.0.x:
- VSCAN with the 6.510 Scan Engine from TrendMicro (dated 1 September 2003)
