1 Brief Description

When driving towards manufacturing excellence, it becomes quickly obvious that this requires connecting

the shop floor with the top floor, and usually this means: Integration of different software solutions.

However, integrating different software solutions from different vendors and maintaining them over time

has always been a challenge; technically as well as financially.

The SIPLACE team has the best knowledge on SIPLACE machines – this knowledge is built into SIPLACE

business logic, whereas 3

parties have excellent knowledge on factory solutions level; and manufacturers

need higher level SW solutions to run their factories – independent from different vendor’s machines.

SIPLACE OIB is an integration platform that addresses these challenges:

 Make SIPLACE business logic available for integration in SIPLACE Partner and 3rd party solutions

 Safeguard partner / 3

party and customer investment by providing stable, version-managed

interfaces

 Decouple upgrade of SIPLACE SW from upgrade of SIPLACE Partner 3

party application

SIPLACE OIB is the operation information broker for the SIPLACE line level software and any MES level

applications for exchanging information and data.

SIPLACE OIB contains a couple of APIs exposing dedicated functionality in form of services based on the

functionality of the SIPLACE Line Level Software.
