SIPLACE Pro from the very start,
can significantly improve the
quality of your production data.
Without the corresponding data
management, however, you may
wind up with different program
versions and encounter
unexpected problems. This is
where SIPLACE Engineering Data
Manager (EDM) – an easy to
handle data management option
for SIPLACE Pro – comes in.
Fast and reliable data transfer
With SIPLACE EDM, you can simultaneously set up
a central SIPLACE Pro main server as well as local
SIPLACE Pro databases at each line in your
production environment. The data on the main
server is replicated quickly and easily, virtually at
the click of a button, to the local databases. All data
transfers are subject to individually configurable
rules to ensure their consistency.
Tracing late changes at the line
Most important feature of EDM is the permission
and the tracing of late data changes at the line,
without affecting neighboring lines.
Controlled centralized data transfer
Changed data will be buffered for revision at the
main server. Responsible personnel is informed via
Email about the changes. After merging changes
into the central data storage changed data are
available for all other lines.

SIPLACE EDM
In addition, SIPLACE EDM can optionally notify the
responsible employee of any modifications via
e-mail. This person can then decide whether the
change should apply to the entire production or only
the respective line.
This valuable feature provides additional control
and improves the quality of your data. Once it has
been confirmed on the main server, the production
data is available for all local databases.
With SIPLACE EDM, multiple entries at each
individual line are a thing of the past.
Especially for distributed databases, SIPLACE
EDM provides significant benefits, because your
data can now not only be easily and reliably
distributed, but also kept consistent and up-to-date.
Requirements
SIPLACE Pro Version 2.1 or higher is installed on
the production line.
The local databases' separation from the central database prevents any
unwanted effects on the lines through local data changes.
