6 Adjust the tension of the new belt. If the belt tension is outside the prescribed
range, move the motor position in 0.1 mm increments to adjust length "L".
7 Reassemble the remaining parts in the reverse order of the disassembly proce-
dure, then connect the wire connectors.

Procedure
1 Remove all 16 nozzle holders.
2 Move the placing head whose vacuum hose is to be replaced to ST9 at 180°, and
then replace the vacuum hose.
3 Connect the vacuum hose to manifold position 4 as shown in the figure below.
WARNING
• Press EMERGENCY STOP before performing this procedure.
• Spring recoil may cause the cam to rotate suddenly if not at its
origin position (0°). Working inside the machine is dangerous
and requires special care.

Replacing Consumable Parts >> Servo Amplifier Battery
MEC-CP842-1.0E 6-21
6.10 Servo Amplifier Battery
Point
CP-842E/842ME machines use absolute encoder motors with servo amplifiers that are
equipped with back-up batteries for saving the encoder data when the machine main
power is off.
When the servo amplifier battery voltage falls below a certain range, a "Servo amp error"
message appears on the machine operation screen during start-u,p and "A.83" is
displayed at the servo amplifier's LED indicator. Replace the battery at this time.
Caution:
1. The absolute data is saved for approximately 1 week after the A.83 error first occurs. Failure
to replace the battery during this period results in the loss of the absolute encoder data. The
battery should therefore be replaced quickly, otherwise calibration data will have to be re-
measured.
2. The absolute encoder data will be lost if the old battery is removed while the servo amplifier'
power LED is off. Ensure that the machine power and amplifier power LED are ON when
removing the old battery.
