4Requirements
You can use SIPLACE Setup Center on a regular PC with the English language version of Windows XP
SP2 or Windows 2003 and optionally with a multi-language pack. These requirements apply only to the
SIPLACE Setup Center software.
4.1 Computers
4.1.1 Database server
The following hardware is recommended for the SIPLACE Setup Center database:
Pentium 4 with 2.4 GHz or higher
2x 20 GB hard drive
1024 MB main memory (minimum 512 MB), depending on the complexity of the file content.
Optional: data backup drive (e.g. DAT)
21” screen (minimum 19”)
Optional: SR-USV
The following software is required:
Windows 2003 Server, or
Windows XP Professional with SP2 and MSDE 2000 with SP4
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
4.1.2 Setup Center GUI Computer
The following hardware is recommended for the Setup Center GUI:
Pentium 4 2.4 GHz (minimum Pentium III 1 GHz)
4 GB hard drive
512 MB main memory, depending on the complexity of the file content
21” screen (minimum 19”), minimum resolution 1280 x 1024 pixels (small fonts)
Black and white laser printer with 300 dpi (configured in operating system)
Optional: Zebra Stripe 400 label printer (configured for the operating system)
The following software is required:
Windows 2003 Server or
Windows XP Professional with SP2
Real Player 8 or Media Player 6.4 or higher
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0

NOTE:
SIPLACE Setup Center requires a NTFS partitioning for installation. FAT or FAT32 file systems
are not supported. Installation of SIPLACE Setup Center onto a FAT partitioning will be
interrupted by the setup program.

4.3 Supported Software
4.3.1 Programming system
SIPLACE Setup Center requires the latest version in online and offline mode:
SIPLACE Pro Interface Version 3.2, 4.1 or 5.0
SIPLACE Pro Desk Version 3.2, 4.1 or 5.0
NOTE:
Note: A hard disk with 500 MB or more free space should be used for installation.

4.3.2 Stations software
SIPLACE Setup Center requires in online mode with forced setup verification the SIPLACE Setup Center
Station Package. This is used for installing the appropriate interface with the stations software:

4.4 Supported Hardware

SIPLACE Setup Center supports the following barcode readers:
"Symbol MC70" 2D barcode scanner, in connection with the WLAN Client Module, WLAN Access
Point and Belkin USB LAN Adapter.
"Datalogic Dragon M101“ barcode scanner, in connection with the „Dragon OM“ base station
