CHAPTER 1 PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
MACHINE INFORMATION
The maintenance engineer should complete the following information boxes as
a permanent record of the machine details.
Monthly Maintenance Completed
In the Monthly Maintenance section of this manual (Maintenance Procedure for
Month 1 to 12), each task is ticked when complete. At the end of the section is
a space for Summary/Remarks, this can be used for any observations or
potential problems that may occur in the future (e.g. slight wear on print carriage
belt - new one on order).
If any comments were entered in the Summary/Remarks box in the monthly
maintenance section, enter ‘Yes’ in the last column of the table above. This
indicates to the next engineer (on the following month) of any issues that the
engineer needs to be aware of. In the example above, the engineer can check
that the new belt has been fitted.

available on request from the purchase source.
If difficulty is experienced in obtaining any MSDS, assistance is available from
ASM. Contact your local ASM agent.
Philosophy Recommended Preventive Maintenance (PM) is to be performed monthly as
defined in the programme.
There is a daily maintenance program for the machine operator which must be
completed before the monthly maintenance is started.
If any items or parts are found to be defective, please contact your local ASM
agent.
The PM must be adhered to in the order that it has been presented.
