1 Allgemeines
Die Software OIS (Operator Information System) wickelt die Betriebsdatenerfassung für die SIPLACE
Bestückautomaten ab. Die Daten werden in einer Datenbank gespeichert. Damit Fremdbenutzer / 3

Party-
Anwendungen diese Daten abrufen und verarbeiten können, werden hier Funktionsweisen der Software OIS
sowie das Datenbankformat für die darin zur Verfügung gestellten Daten beschrieben.
2 Datenschnittstelle
Alle abrufbaren Daten aus der OIS-Datenbank werden über Datenbank-Views zur Verfügung gestellt.
Dadurch wird sichergestellt, dass sich auch nach einer eventuellen Änderung des Datenbankformats die
Datenbankschnittstelle nicht (zwingend) verändert. Alle Views können nur gelesen werden; ein schreibender
Zugriff ist nicht möglich. Wenn Zeichenketten (Strings) übergeben werden, so wird dies ohne
Längenbegrenzung durchgeführt. D. h. die übergebenen Werte entsprechen immer dem tatsächlich in der
Datenbank vorliegenden Format, da die ODBC-Schnittstelle einen variablen Zugriff zulässt. Eine mögliche
Änderung der String-Längen innerhalb der Datenbank bewirkt also immer auch eine korrekte Weitergabe
über ODBC.
