System Components

SIPLACE BoardGateKeeper is used for further processing of board data. This data is imported from the

barcode and/or transportation systems and transferred to the MES system.

SIPLACE BoardGateKeeper consists of two components:

▪ BoardGateKeeper service:

for connection of the scanner and MES systems

▪ BoardGateKeeper Manager:

for configuration of the BoardGateKeeper server

All SIPLACE BoardGateKeeper components are automatically installed on the same computer during

installation.

Connects to the scanner and transportation systems configured for each line and transfers notification

messages to the MES.

Existing Restrictions

▪ The Product Flow Controller is a CogiScan product. The ASM Assembly System will not assume any

liability for damage or accept warranty claims regarding the CogiScan Product Flow Controller.

▪ The restrictions described in the product documentation apply with regard to integration of the Co-

giScan Product Flow Controller.

▪ The Moxa box is a product made by Moxa. The ASM Assembly System will not assume any liability

for damage or accept warranty claims regarding the Moxa box.

▪ Moxa box and the integration of BoardGateKeeper Service do not support interlocking mode.

▪ The restrictions described in the product documentation apply with regard to integration of the Moxa

box.

▪ The OIB interface IBoardNotification supports the integration of several target systems with the

BoardGateKeeper per line (e.g. MES). The customer must ensure that these systems cooperate with

each other (for example with the same overrriding barcode).

▪ If you want to distribute IBoardNotification messages to different line-specific end points, you will

need to assign each end point to the SiplacePro line concerned, via the OIB Site configuration. For

further information, refer to the OIB product information ("Installation and Configuration of SIPLACE

OIB 4.x, item no.: 00197701-xx").

▪The Whispering Barcode option can only be enabled if there is a placement station with station soft-

ware 706 or higher at the beginning of the line.

▪ Some messages can only be processed with station software 709.1 or higher. With whispering, there

is, for example, the possibility to override the PCB barcode at the station or to transport the PCB to

the end of the SIPLACE cluster even if the barcode was rejected by the MES. It is generally recom-

mended to use software version 709.1 or higher for locking the PCB at the input conveyor of the

placement machine.
