Monitoring functionality:
● 2.5 OIB Monitoring Clients only receive live data. Historic data cannot be queried.
● Consumption quantities follow the data sent by the stations:
– Pick-up errors on an empty track are considered as consumption
– Disposed components on fiducial error or station error are not contained in the consumption
data
● The Monitoring Service is only available with OIS versions >= 7.1.
● The Monitoring Service is only supported by SIPLACE Pro versions >= 7.0.
● The alternative components option requires a license in SIPLACE Pro and is only supported
by:
– Station software versions >= 705
– SIPLACE Pro version >= 9.x

8 Troubleshooting
If the SIPLACE OIS/SIS software is causing problems, you should use the error reporting tool to
report the error information. The error reporting tool is provided with the Support Media that is
shipped with the SIPLACE Pro / SIPLACE OIS package. Please use the Error Report menu item
in the SIPLACE Monitoring Service start menu to create an error report and then make it
available to your SIPLACE service engineer.
8.1 Problems and Solutions
8.1.1 Problem when Installing the Monitoring Service
If you install SQL 2005 manually, for OIS/SIS server the Mixed Mode must be activated (see the
"Manual Installation of SQL Server 2005" manual, item no. [00195784-xx].
When installing SQL 2005 Express via the Support Media, the option is activated automatically.
8.1.2 OIS Client with Foreign Languages Needs Restart of the Machine
If the OIS client has been installed with foreign languages, after the installation a restart of the
machine is required with administration login.
8.1.3 Station Software 70x Sends No Operation Data to the Monitoring Service
Verify and correct the IP address of the station. You find detailed information in the "Line
configuration" section in the SIPLACE OIS Administration Manual, item no. [00198011-xx].
