2.5 SIPLACE OIB Client API

SIPLACE OIB Client API is a component, which enables applications to access the SIPLACE OIB

Adapters functionality through proxies accessible via .NET Assemblies. Therefore the SIPLACE OIB Client

API installs the Smart Proxies which can communicate with the potentially remotely installed SIPLACE OIB

Adapters. These can support different versions of the product.

3 Requirements

3.1 System Requirements

The Support Media DVD included in the installation package checks the necessary system requirements of your

system and installs the needed components like Microsoft .NET Framework, the License Manager and the Error

Reporting tool.

The use of the Support Media V1.16 is mandatory.

The system requirements (supported operating systems and database variants) and an overview of the

interoperable products can be found in the SIPLACE Support Media Installation Manual, item no. [00197214-

xx].

3.2 Required SIPLACE Software

3.2.1 SIPLACE OIB Core

The required SIPLACE Software will be installed by the Support Media DVD 1.16 or higher

• SIPLACE License Manager 2.2 or higher

• SIPLACE Error Reporter 1.3 or higher

• SIPLACE Studio 1.1 or higher

Caution:

Prerequisites will be installed with the Support Media and are not part of the SIPLACE OIB 3.3

Product CD. The Support Media will be released separately, so please follow the installation

instructions from the installation manual.

3.2.2 SIPLACE OIB SIPLACE Pro Adapter

The following SIPLACE OIB Software is required:

• SIPLACE License Manager 2.2 or higher

• SIPLACE Error Reporter 1.3 or higher

• SIPLACE OIB Core 3.3 or higher

Caution:

The SIPLACE OIB Core must be installed before installing the OIB Adapters. The OIB Core

may be installed on another computer or locally.

You should have the SIPLACE OIB Core computer name available.

3.2.3 SIPLACE OIB Setup Center Adapter

The required SIPLACE Software is installed by the corresponding product media.

• SIPLACE Error Reporter 1.3 or higher

• App Sight Black Box

• SIPLACE Setup Center 3.0 or

• SIPLACE Setup Center 3.2 or

• SIPLACE Setup Center 3.2 SP1 or

Caution:

The SIPLACE OIB Setup Center Adapter must be installed on the same computer as the
