5 System Requirements
5.1 Installation Variants
SIPLACE Explorer V2.7 provides three installation variants for the different components:
• Factory Layout Central Installation (CI)
• Factory Layout Distributed Installation (DI)
• Single Line Layout
We recommend that you use one of these installation variants for your system. For detailed information
about the installation and configuration process, refer to the document "SIPLACE Explorer 2.7 Installation
and Configuration Manual", Item No.: 00196423-01.
5.2 SIPLACE Explorer Server
The following system requirements apply for the installation variants Factory Layout Central Installation
(CI) and Factory Layout Distributed Installation (DI).
5.2.1 Hardware
We recommend using an Econel 100. If your system uses other hardware, this hardware must meet the
following requirements:
• 3.2 GHz processor
• 2 GB RAM
• 160 GB available hard drive capacity
• DVD ROM drive
Systems using low performance hardware may only deliver reduced process performance.
