: If an older version of the safety profile is mounted, change it for the new one.

Note the following:

– Stick in the screws fro fixing the actuator with Loctite 241 (item no.: 02011037S01).

– Minimize the play of the actuator with the adjusting screw.

: Check the

– correct mechanical (smooth engaging) function and the

– electrical function (interruption of the emergency stop loop and signaling circuit) of the cover

safety switch.

: Adjust the actuator, if necessary.

2.6.2 Retrofitting the safety profile

: If it is not already present, stick the hand guard onto the machine cover:

00378375-01 ETP hand guard X series cover, complete

(as standard up to serial no.: B35/ B39/ B61/ B62/ B65/ B66/ B67/ B73 and all after B76).

With the long machine cover, the "Hand guard X series cover long“ (03041570-01) may be used

on the right-hand side of the cover without shortening it (855 mm). 2

: On the left-hand side of the cover, shorten the "Hand guard X series cover long" to 745 mm.

: For the short machine covers, shorten the rubber profile of the "Hand guard X series cover

long“ (03041570-01) to 727 mm (on the right) or 560 mm (on the left).

: Stick on the "Hand guard X series cover“ (03041570-01) using the "Tesafix 4965 19 mm 50m

roll“ adhesive tape (00378373-01) on both sides of the cover.

Check that the lengths are correct as described above. The flat part of the L-shaped profile

must lie under the cover, over the middle of the machine, while the high end must end at the

cover.

2.6.3 Safety stickers

If it is not already present (as standard up to serial no.: B35/ B39/ B61/ B62/ B65/ B66/ B67/ B73

and all from B76), stick the

"Retrofit kit: Safety stickers for cover, 5m roll“ (item no.: 00378376-01)

onto the machine covers. 2

: Stick the film onto the metal frame of the machine cover.
