Operating Manual 2.1 Safety Information
– The contents of the above-mentioned installation and operating manuals of the docking station
for SIPLACE SX changeover tables, as well as the operating manual of the SIPLACE
placement system and of other connected modules/machines, must be fully understood and
followed to ensure that the conditions for starting and activating the docking station for
SIPLACE SX changeover tables, and thus for the “intended use” are present.
The manufacturer assumes no liability for any damage or injuries and makes no warranties for the
proper and functionally correct behaviour of the docking station for SIPLACE SX changeover
tables in the event of unintended use.
2.1.5 Unintended use
DANGER
Unintended use of the product poses the risk of serious injury or death and/or severe damage to
property. For this reason, unintended use is strictly prohibited.
The manufacturer assumes no liability for any damage or injuries and makes no warranties for the
proper and functionally correct behaviour of the components in the event of unintended use.
Unintended use of the docking station for SIPLACE SX changeover tables including the
SIPLACE unit or other interfacing line modules includes, for example:
– The use for other purposes than defined in the “Intended Use” section, i.e. including using
PCBs and components that are outside the specification.
– Transport, installation, and power connection (electric and/or pneumatic) as well as the
interface connection to the SIPLACE placement system under other installation, connection,
and operating conditions than specified in this operating manual and in the installation manual.
– The electrical connection of the docking station for SIPLACE SX changeover tables to the
operating voltage, before the installation has not been finished and checked.
– Use of unauthorized spare parts, accessories, and auxiliary modules.
– Operation of the docking station and the SIPLACE placement system and the performing of
tasks by unqualified, insufficiently trained personnel.
–
Performing of service and maintenance tasks by personnel lacking the necessary qualifications,
and performing of tasks that go beyond the extent described in the relevant documents.
– Removing of covers by unauthorised personnel.
– Operation of the docking station for SIPLACE SX changeover tables and/or SIPLACE
placement system if the safety features have been manipulated or removed.
– Failure to comply with the operating instructions for the docking station for SIPLACE SX
changeover tables or information on subsequent procedures in the maintenance, service, and
installation manuals of the docking stations for SIPLACE SX changeover tables.

2 Operating Safety Docking Station for SIPLACE SX Changeover Tables
2.1 Safety Information Operating Manual
10
– Failure to observe the information in the operating manual of the respective placement system
or other machines interfacing the docking station for SIPLACE SX changeover tables and thus
operating the docking station for SIPLACE SX changeover tables without knowledge of the
interaction of each machine within the line.
2.1.6 Important Information on Operating Safety
To maintain operating safety, compliance with the following items is mandatory.
2.1.6.1 General Safety Regulations
DANGER
Despite all of the safety features provided by the manufacturer, improper operation of the docking
station for SIPLACE SX changeover tables or incorrect procedures may cause serious injuries or
death and/or severe damage to property during maintenance, setup, servicing or installation!
– Observe the safety regulations provided in the manuals.
– Also follow the specific safety rules of your country!
– Do not modify the machine in any way prior to obtaining written approval from the
manufacturer.
– Label the power cords adequately so that they can be clearly assigned to each module of the
placement/production line.
– Be sure to route and secure all cables (power and interface cables) to the docking station for
SIPLACE SX changeover tables to avoid any danger of people tripping over them.
– Immediately replace any warning and danger labels that are attached to the wrong place,
missing, or difficult to read. Clean the labels as described in this manual.
– Covers on the docking station for SIPLACE SX changeover tables that can be removed or
opened only with tools or with the machine key must only be removed by personnel authorized
for this task.
– It is expressly prohibited to modify/bypass any protective features (including query units, such
as safety limit switches and light barriers).
– After each intervention into the machine (maintenance, repair, etc.), the service technician or
