Qualified or adequately trained personnel means that these people are familiar with the setting up,
operation and maintenance of the machine and the add-on devices and are suitably qualified, e.g.:

Have been trained, instructed or authorized to switch on and off, isolate, earth and identify
electrical circuits and system components in accordance with normal safety standards.
●
Have been trained or instructed in the upkeep and use of appropriate safety equipment in ac-
cordance with normal safety standards.
●
Have received first aid training.

2.1 Product description
This input conveyor extension option allows you to extend the conveyor beyond the standard width
of the machine.
The input conveyor extension can be installed on any machine in the line. This improves access to
the machines.
In addition, the input conveyor extension is required to install the "SICK LECTOR620 PCB barcode
scanner" option.
NOTICE

However, it is possible to use the COGNEX DM100 or DM150, which do not require the in-
put conveyor extension. These barcode scanners can be installed behind the narrow cover
in the input area in front of the machine.
2.2 Prerequisites
The input conveyor extension can be installed on any SIPLACE SX1/SX2 V2 machine in the line.
The input conveyor extension is required to install the "PCB barcode scanner" option. For more in-
formation, see the "PCB Barcode" assembly instructions [DE+EN:00197088‑xx].
