MAINTENANCE SAFETY!
Before attempting to perform any procedure be sure to read,
understand, and follow the Safety Information section of the
manual. Only qualified personnel should perform the following
procedures.
PROCEDURE DESCRIPTIONS
1. Lubricate transport conveyor chain.
2. Exhaust Stack Filter – inspect and replace if necessary. (OPTION)
3. PolarCool™ / Controlled Cool -heat exchanger cleaning. (OPTION)
4. PolarCool™ / Controlled Cool - clean and replace flux filter. (OPTION)
5. Clean, lubricate, and verify the operation of the rail width adjust mechanisms. (OPTION)
6. PolarCool™ / Controlled Cool - "Y” strainer - check, clean and reinstall. (OPTION)
7. Clean cell faceplates and other surfaces.
8. Check and replace sampling filter on optional oxygen analyzer. (OPTION)
9. Check and Clean Sample Ports (OPTION)
10. Clean and lubricate rail width adjust worms and gears. (OPTION)
11. Controlled Exhaust - inspect and clean nozzle.
12. Vacuum muffin fans.
13. Lubricate transfer / synchronizing chain (combination and belt conveyors only). (OPTION)
14. PolarCool™ / Controlled Cool - drain, clean, and fill reservoir. (OPTION)
Notes:
The recommended service intervals are based on one 40 hour shift per week. Increased operating hours will
require a corresponding service interval change.
Procedures 2-3-4-5-6-8-9-10-13-14 correspond to machine options and may not be standard maintenance items.
Procedure 10 is for Air only or Nitrogen to True Air switching machine configurations.
For Ovens with Computer Controlled Chain Lubrication Option, Procedure 01 is performed automatically,
therefore the Yearly Maintenance Time is “0” (zero).
Recommended time intervals are presented here. However, the frequency of these procedures is process
dependent. These items must be checked every two weeks until an appropriate schedule is determined based
on your process. Refer to the last two pages in this section for a calendar that may be duplicated for a log of
completed maintenance.
