MAINTENANCE SAFETY!
Before attempting to perform any procedure be sure to read,
understand, and follow the Safety Information section of the
manual. Only qualified personnel should perform the following
procedures.

14. PolarCool™ / Controlled Cool - drain, clean, and fill reservoir. (OPTION)
Notes:
The recommended service intervals are based on one 40 hour shift per week. Increased operating hours will
require a corresponding service interval change.
Procedures 2-3-4-5-6-8-9-10-13-14 correspond to machine options and may not be standard maintenance items.
Procedure 10 is for Air only or Nitrogen to True Air switching machine configurations.
For Ovens with Computer Controlled Chain Lubrication Option, Procedure 01 is performed automatically,
therefore the Yearly Maintenance Time is “0” (zero).
Recommended time intervals are presented here. However, the frequency of these procedures is process
dependent. These items must be checked every two weeks until an appropriate schedule is determined based
on your process. Refer to the last two pages in this section for a calendar that may be duplicated for a log of
completed maintenance.

PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES
Procedure 1: Lubricate Transport Conveyor Chain
(Interval - 2 weeks)
NOTE: This procedure is automatic on Ovens equipped with the Computer Controlled Chain Lube option
On systems equipped with the Edge/Rail conveyor system, check the conveyor transport chain for lubrication.
The chain should be lubricated if it looks dry or the chain links do not move freely over the sprockets, Use
“Darmex” 773ND lubricant or equivalent. Remove the chain guards at the offload end of the system; apply the
lubricant with a small brush at the opening of the chain plates. Avoid getting lubricant on the product transport
pins. Apply the lubricant sparingly, do not soak the chain or apply it such quantities where the lubricant drips off.
Make sure the factory exhaust system is on and operating properly, as you may notice some fumes when the
heaters are turned on.
